(Job #546692) Athletic Trainer I, 10/12 Months, Assistant Athletic Trainer I, Salary Range: $3,511 - $6,775 monthly. This is a full-time, benefited, exempt, 10/12 pay plan (work 10 months of the year with pay and benefits over 12 months) permanent position with a one-year probationary period in Department. This position comes with a premium benefits package that includes outstanding vacation, medical, dental, and vision plans, life insurance, voluntary pre-tax health and dependent care reimbursement accounts, a fee waiver education program, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), and 14 paid holidays per year. Position Summary:
Under the lead work direction of the Head Athletic Trainer, and the general supervision of the Athletic Director, the Athletic Trainer I follows established guidelines and procedures in providing the full range of clinical athletic training functions for student-athletes during training and competition, in accordance with the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) guidelines. The Athletic Trainer I also provides injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation for athletic injuries and assists in coverage of athletic practices and contests, including evening and weekend assignments and travel with teams.
