Job summary

Queens College seeks an Assistant Athletic Trainer for a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Director of Sports Medicine in the Department of Athletics and Recreation. The role may attend national and conference meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include injury evaluations, coverage for all intercollegiate teams (travel, nights, weekends), summer camp support, and maintenance of the athletic training room. Located in Queens, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; master's preferred.
• BOC certification and NYS licensure required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification and valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and staff.
• Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide injury evaluations and rehabilitative treatments for intercollegiate athletes.
• Provide practice and game coverage, including travel and irregular hours.
• Assist in summer camp coverage and monitor the athletic training room.
• Coordinate and document insurance, scheduling, and medical referrals.
