The Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible for injury and illness prevention, wellness promotion, examination, assessment, and diagnosis of injuries and illnesses. They provide immediate and emergency care to student athletes, administer therapeutic interventions, and handle healthcare administration and professional responsibilities. This role also involves assisting in policy and procedure development, as well as educating and counseling student athletes and coaches. Additionally, the Assistant Athletic Trainer will support the sports medicine staff in various capacities as deemed necessary by the Senior Associate AD for Health and Wellness, and must maintain compliance with MAC & NCAA rules.
