Eastern Illinois University seeks two Assistant Athletic Trainers to support student-athletes' health and safety in compliance with NCAA regulations. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Athletic Training, be NATA certified, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
Eastern Illinois University is seeking (2) Assistant Athletic Trainers - one with primary coverage for men's soccer/men's basketball and the other women's basketball/fall softball. The Assistant Athletic Trainers reports to the Assistant AD for Health, Safety and Performance. These positions are responsible for assisting the Director in providing Athletic Training services to all student- athletes, within the guidelines, rules and regulations of Eastern Illinois University, the Ohio Valley Conference and the NCAA. This position requires certification through the NATA and licensure with the State of Illinois.
Master’s degree required in Athletic Training or related field. NATA certified and Illinois License (or eligible) required. Experience in college athletics preferred. Experience working effectively and cooperatively with student-athletes, coaches and staff. Strong interpersonal skills are preferred. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and experience with promoting inclusive excellence is required.
