Lamar University seeks an Athletic Trainer to provide medical services to Women's Softball student-athletes. The role involves injury management, communication with various departments, and maintaining medical records. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree and be eligible for Texas Athletic Training License.
About This Role:
Provide medical services to Lamar University Women’s Softball student athletes under the direction of the Director of Sports Medicine and team physicians. Must have the ability to make independent decisions in the following areas: injury assessment, injury referrals, injury care management, return to play, emergency care, communication and administration. This position requires the ability to work with the athletic training staff, strength and conditioning staff, sport coaches, athletic administration, team physicians, and various departments across campus. This position may require you to work non-traditional hours, including early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Some travel required. This job is not suitable for remote work.
