Rice University in Houston seeks an assistant athletic trainer responsible for developing and maintaining health care for student athletes. This role includes the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries and supervision of medical practices in collaboration with the sports medical team.
The ideal candidate will have NATABOC certification, experience in athletics, strong communication and administrative skills, and the ability to perform duties onsite. This is a great opportunity to work within a prestigious university’s athletics department.
The assistant athletic trainer will develop and maintain a high degree of total health care for student athletes. This person will be responsible for the prevention and care and treatment of athletic injuries and the supervision of equipment and physical therapy modalities. The successful candidate will have experience working within a college athletics department and treating athletes from different sports.
This position is exclusively on-site, necessitating all duties to be performed in-person at [insert location and schedule] and includes moderate travel to provide medical care to assigned team and student athletes. Per Rice policy 440, work arrangements may be subject to change.
