Overview

Assist in the overall health care delivery system for assignedathletic teams. Responsible for compliance with all NCAA rules andregulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Establish all medical preparations and coverage at practices,contests (both home, away, and championships), for assigned sports.Prepare athletes for competition through various techniques oftaping, bandaging and stretching, including emergency care of acuteinjuries. (60%)
2. Assist and monitor physical rehabilitation of athletic relatedinjuries. Apply therapeutic modalities, exercise and education tostudent-athletes while considering the physical and psychologicalaspects of their injuries. (20%)
3. Coordinate student athletic trainer education. Design, assignand schedule all educational lecture/seminars for our studentathletic trainers. (10%)
4. Oversee inventory and supply ordering. Coordinate with otherstaff athletic trainers, year end inventory and supply purchaseorders. Manage a running inventory throughout the year of allsupplies for three training room facilities and submit orders andre-orders on an ongoing basis. (10%)
