Job description

The Department of Surgery at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Medical Center, are seeking to fill a faculty position in the Division of Neurosurgery.

We are seeking a candidate who is fellowship trained in Neurosurgery in tumor and/or open vascular cranial surgery to join a practice of five academic neurosurgeons. This position is expected to develop into a robust clinical practice which will include complex cranial surgery at the primary university hospital and will also help to provide neurosurgical coverage at an affiliated hospital.

The successful candidate in addition to providing clinical care for Neurosurgical patients, is expected to participate in the training of Neurosurgery residents, teach medical students and to continue to pursue their research interests. Candidates at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway will be considered for this position.

All applicants must be Board eligible or certified in Neurosurgery. Successful candidates must be eligible for licensure in the State of Vermont, eligible to work in the United States.

This is a full-time, 12-month, salaried position with attending staff privileges at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Located in Burlington, the University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Medical Center serve as Vermont’s only academic medical center.
