Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University's Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland seeks a Pediatric Pulmonologist to provide clinical care across inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, and outreach sites. Requirements include MD/DO, Oregon medical license, DEA certificate, and completion of a Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine fellowship, with board eligibility/certification.

Qualifications

• DEA Certificate is required for controlled substances handling.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Pediatric Pulmonology is required/anticipated.
• Completion of a 3-year GME-approved Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in inpatient wards and outpatient clinics.
• Participate in outreach clinics and on-call duties including nights/weekends.
• Engage in educational activities for medical students and residents.
• Contribute to translational research and clinical trials when possible.

Function/Duties of Position

The Division of Pulmonary Medicine provides clinical care in clinical care at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, a 151 bed hospital-within-a-hospital associated with OHSU, and a member of NACHRI, as well as Doenbecher Children’s Hospital Outpatient Clinics. Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine also provides outreach clinics to various locations across the Portland Metro Area and throughout the state.

As a member of the division, the successful candidate will maintain a share of clinical service in both the inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, outreach clinics, and will assume an appropriate share of both night and weekend on-call service. The Pulmonary Medicine Division is involved in providing and leading educational endeavors for medical students and residents. Division members may also participate in translational research and clinical trials.
