Join the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine as an Assistant/Associate/Professor of Otolaryngology - Otology and Neurotology - Full-Time.

Position Overview

The Department of Otolaryngology at UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh seeks to recruit an Otolaryngologist at open rank, specializing in Otology, Neurotology, or Skull Base Surgery. This role offers opportunities in clinical care, teaching, research, and service within a vibrant academic environment, including participation in the Pittsburgh Hearing Research Center. Candidates with research interests in hearing restoration or hearing loss prevention are especially encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in all aspects of academic surgery including clinical care, teaching, research, and departmental service.
  • Contribute to the residency training program and collaborate with the Pittsburgh Hearing Research Center.
Qualifications
  • PhD in Neuroscience, Molecular/Cell Biology, Cognitive and Neural Systems, Computational Science, Communications Science, Bioengineering, or similar fields.
  • MD (or equivalent) degree, with completion of a clinician scientist training pathway preferred.
  • Board eligibility in Otolaryngology.
  • Additional fellowship training in Otology, Neurotology, Skull Base Surgery, or Advanced Otology is preferred.
Academic Rank and Experience
  • Rank will be commensurate with experience: Assistant Professor (1-5 years), Associate Professor (6-10 years), Professor (10+ years).
