The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine invites applications for a full-time, Clinician-Educator track position in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities align with the School's Mission Statement and include excellence in pre- and post-doctoral teaching, clinical, basic science and/or educational research and service in oral and maxillofacial pathology, including pathology practice.

  • Clinical practice in oral and maxillofacial pathology.
  • Teaching at the pre- and post-doctoral levels.
  • Engagement in scholarly activities and service.
Qualifications
  • Must have completed a CODA-accredited advanced education program in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.
  • Board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.
  • At least two years of experience in the broad scope of oral and maxillofacial pathology and anatomic pathology practice and teaching is preferred.
  • Interest or background in scholarship; preference for candidates with publications and/or funding in machine learning or artificial intelligence applied to diagnostic pathology or educational data analysis.
  • Record of excellence in teaching, clinical, basic science and/or educational research and service in oral and maxillofacial pathology.
  • Eligible for a U.S. work authorization, possess a DDS or DMD degree, and eligible for an unrestricted Pennsylvania dental license.
