Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing

The Department of Nursing is now accepting applications for an Assistant/Associate tenure-track full-time faculty position to begin in August 2027.

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in the following clinical/theory areas- Nursing leadership, Healthcare Management, and DNP courses including support with project development, and pathophysiology.
• Provide feedback to students via online learning activities and assessment of assignments submitted through the Learning Management System (i.e., Canvas).
• Demonstrate excellent communication, accountability, and initiative, along with a strong Christian commitment and interest in the integration of faith with learning.
• Provide academic advising and mentoring for students towards a future career and in their Christian faith.
• Remain current in their field by engaging in scholarly or clinical work and being active in professional organizations.
• Participate in course, curriculum, and program development.
• Work strategically with diverse colleagues, students, and community members.
• Participate in campus, university, and community service activities.

Qualifications:

• A doctoral degree (PhD or DNP) in nursing that includes clinical preparation in a nursing specialty and preparation for the teaching role is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in a nursing specialty area.
• Two years of clinical experience in the area of instruction and a minimum of one year full-time equivalency in clinical practice preferred.
• Current California RN license
