Description
The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication at Hofstra University is pleased to invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Television Production in the Department of Radio, Television, Film at Hofstra University. The successful candidate will teach television production courses at the introductory and advanced levels, as part of the Department’s Television and Sports Media programs.
Tenure candidates are expected to engage in scholarly research and/or creative activity, as well as participating in service to the department, the school, and the university—including committee work and academic advising. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a commitment todeveloping curricula reflecting the diverse creative voices in contemporary television sports, entertainment, and news.
The Department of Radio, Television, Film offers a range of undergraduate degree programs (BA, BS, BFA ) in film, podcasting and audio storytelling, and television, as well as a degree in sports media offered jointly with the Herbert School’s Department of Journalism, Media Studies, and Public Relations. The Department’s faculty and students benefit from extensive and well-equipped television facilities, including three studios, three control rooms, and a wide array of field equipment.

Salary/Salary Range
Salary/Salary Range $95,000-$110,000

Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education. In addition to the salary offered, we offer a collegial and inclusive culture, and a benefits program which includes generous paid time off, paid holidays, tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, and a retirement plan with University contributions.
