Job description

Columbia University Medical Center - Interventional Endoscopy

Columbia University's Department of Medicine invites applications for a clinical faculty position based at the Milstein Campus. The candidate will serve as a member of the interventional endoscopy service and perform fundamental interventional procedures such as diagnostic and therapeutic EUS, ERCP, luminal endoscopy, and enteroscopy.

In addition, the candidate will be expected to help build an endobariatric and metabolic endoscopy service.

Candidates should have strong clinical and teaching qualifications. Responsibilities will include:

  1. Direct patient care
  2. Supervision and teaching of house staff (residents and fellows) and medical students
  3. Active participation in departmental activities
  4. Partnering with senior leadership at the university and NYP to identify strategic opportunities and implement improvements
  5. Building referral relationships

The incumbent may also be asked to participate in endoscopy services at satellite locations of the NYP-Columbia system.


Minimum Degree: MD, MD/PhD degree or equivalent, and eligible to practice in the State of New York.

Minimum Qualifications: Board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist who has completed an advanced endoscopy fellowship.
