The Allen School of Engineering & Computing at Trine University invites applications for a faculty position in the Rick L. and Vicki L. James Department of Computer Science and Information Technology beginning Fall 2024.
The faculty member must be committed to delivering instruction in information technology areas, including hardware, IT support and services, operating systems, information systems, PowerShell, network and systems administration with passion, vision, and enthusiasm for teaching. The ideal candidate will help students earn industry-standard certifications such as A+ and Network+. They will also contribute to our computer science society by coaching and developing student activities and mentoring students.
Competitive candidates will demonstrate potential for excellence in classroom teaching and possess strong IT skills, with a desire to learn or knowledge of AR/VR, game design, and pedagogy.
Applicants must have at least a B.S. degree in a field related to computer science, data science, information technology, software engineering, network administration, web development, or a closely related field, or valid work experience in these areas, and a minimum of an M.S. degree in a relevant technical or computing education field.
