Position Overview

The Department of Surgery at Keck School of Medicine and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks a surgical oncologist specializing in sarcoma, melanoma, skin cancers, and soft tissue malignancies.

Responsibilities
  1. Bring expertise in sarcoma biology and surgical techniques.
  2. Collaborate across disciplines including medical oncology, orthopedics, radiation oncology, and radiology within our multidisciplinary sarcoma program.
  3. Understand the relationship between surgery and immunotherapy for melanoma.
  4. Perform complex regional node surgeries, including deep groin dissection and local rotational flaps.
  5. Participate in multidisciplinary clinical decision-making and clinical trial design.
  6. Engage in teaching and clinical research, with opportunities at LAC+USC Medical Center and satellite locations.
Qualifications
  • Eligible for or certified by the American Board of Surgery.
  • Completed a Complex General Surgical Oncology fellowship.
  • Eligible for a California Medical License.
