University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is seeking a BC/BE pediatric pulmonologist for a full-time or part-time role in the Department of Pediatrics' Pulmonology Division. The position offers flexible practice options with weekend call rotation and an excellent benefits package.

Qualifications include MD/DO, Illinois licensure eligibility, and board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonology; 3 years residency and 3 years fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology are

Qualifications

  • MD/DO or equivalent medical degree.
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois.
  • Board certification or eligible status in Pediatrics.
  • Board certification or eligible status in Pediatric Pulmonology.
  • Completion of 3-year Pediatric Residency and 3-year Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship.

Responsibilities

  • Be an active part of the existing pulmonary team.
  • Contribute clinically, educationally, and to scholarly activities.
  • Provide care, diagnostics and treatment for children with pulmonary conditions.
  • Contribute to educational programs for medical students and residents.
  • Maintain a spirit of inquiry and scholarship in pulmonology.
  • Rotate weekend pediatric pulmonary calls with other APNs and physicians.
  • Perform related duties and participate in special projects.

Minimum Qualifications
  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois
  • Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics
  • Board certified or eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology
  • 3 years Pediatric Residency/3 years Fellowship-Pediatric Pulmonology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pediatric Sleep Medicine is preferred but not required.
  • Clinical teaching experience

The budgeted salary range for the position is $280,000 to $347,000 per year.

The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
