The goal is to educate and enhance the quantity of doctorally prepared graduates in the nursing field.

The Doctorate of Nursing Practice tenure-track nursing faculty will serve as a faculty member across the curriculum for the McKenzie-Elliott School of Nursing, focusing primarily on the Doctorate of Nursing (DNP) and Masters of Nursing (MSN) roles. The faculty member will serve to enhance the core mission of the School of Nursing and the university while enhancing and supporting students' learning environment, critical thinking, discovery, and engagement of new knowledge and skills.

Unrestricted RN license in the state of North Carolina or the ability to obtain.

Job Description	The McKenzie-Elliott School of Nursing recently transitioned from a thriving department that experienced exponential growth in the areas of workforce development, community service, and research, invites highly qualified applicants to apply for a full-time tenure-track faculty position. As part of our transition, the School of Nursing is currently seeking an individual with educational preparation and a drive for innovative teaching approaches to accomplish the 2030 Future of Nursing Continued Vision and AACN's Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education. The individual should have a keen interest in teaching, community service, and scholarship. As a nationally accredited program, we prepare the nursing workforce to serve rural, urban, and global populations through our pre-licensure BSN, RN-BSN, RN-MSN, and graduate nursing programs. This is a 9-month position with the opportunity for summer teaching. UNCP is a doctorally granting university and one of 17 schools that comprise the University of North Carolina system. With a total enrollment of approximately 7,700 students, the university offers 41 undergraduate and 19 graduate degree programs. The UNCP main campus is located in Pembroke, North Carolina, a quiet, safe community located 15 minutes from Lumberton. Other responsibilities include contributing to the development of the nursing profession through research and scholarship as well as engaging in community and professional service associated with the area of expertise.
