Department Information The Department of Marketing and Logistics is one of the larger departments in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB) and includes a major in Marketing, with concentrations in Digital Marketing, Professional Sales, and General Marketing. We are also in the process of establishing Logistics as a major field of study in the BBA degree program. The MCCB is an AACSB-accredited business school with over 4,000 students across five campuses. The College includes the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the Truist Center for Ethical Leadership. In addition to the BBA, the College offers undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, and Management and two associate degrees. Graduate programs include the Cottrell MBA, Master of Accountancy, and three graduate certificates. The international group of teacher-scholars provides an exceptional learning community to prepare students for their professional roles and to engage with business and industry in the region to foster economic development.

Job Summary The Department of Marketing and Logistics in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB) at the University of North Georgia (UNG) invites applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor in Marketing starting in fall 2027 semester. Summer 2028 teaching may be available. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses primarily on the Dahlonega campus, as well as graduate courses for the MBA program.

  • Engage beyond the classroom with students as faculty academic advisor and as advisor to student clubs and/or related activities to showcase student achievements.

  • Participate as an active, contributing member to the service activities of the College.

Required Qualifications
  • An earned doctorate degree in Marketing and areas related to Digital Marketing, preferably from an AACSB-accredited institution, required at the time of hire. An ABD nearing completion with documentation of degree completion is also eligible to apply.
  • Recent substantive and significant scholarship relevant to Digital Marketing and related Marketing fields.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference will be given to those applicants who have a record of excellent teaching in the areas of Marketing/Digital Marketing and commitment to business education.
  • Preference will also be given to those with Digital Marketing and related certifications, and industry experience relevant to Digital Marketing area.
