Job Description

The Department of Pathology at the University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC) is seeking a full-time, tenure track, academic hematopathologist/clinical pathologist.

The successful candidate will share primary clinical responsibilities at Utoledo Health with eight other anatomic/clinical pathologists. Teaching of residents and medical students is a critical part of this position, and the successful applicant must have exemplary teaching skills. Excellent opportunities are available for independent or collaborative research, and the candidate is expected to develop a strong publication resume. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate primary clinical responsibilities at UTMC with other pathologists
  • Teaching of residents and medical students is a critical part of this position, and the successful applicant must have exemplary teaching skills.

  • Provide services Monday through Friday
    • Call every sixth weekend
Minimum Qualifications

  • M.D. or equivalent degree
  • Must be AP/CP Board certified
  • Must have successful completion of Fellowship in cytopathology along with Board Certification
  • Must be eligible for licensure in Ohio Evidence of excellence in teaching and evidence of significant scholarly activity are essential
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Pathology/Cytopathology
