The School of Analytics, Finance, and Economics invites those withpotential for excellence in research in the field of CorporateFinance and in teaching Finance to submit an application forconsideration as an Assistant or Associate Professor. This positionis a continuing, tenure track, 9-month appointment to start August10, 2027.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications andexperience, while also considering internal equity.

Examples of Duties

The selected candidate will teach graduate and/or undergraduatecourses, engage in scholarly research, and provideSchool/University service appropriate of academic rank.Graduate-level teaching includes the Finance PhD seminars inCorporate Finance with face-to-face interaction and supervision ofstudents.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Finance or a related discipline. ABD applicants will be considered if all requirements for the PhD degree will be completed by August 10, 2027. If all requirements for the doctorate have not been completed by date of appointment, a nine-month, term, non-tenure-track appointment at the rank of Instructor may be offered in accordance with University policy (https://policies.siu.edu/personnel-policies/chapter2/ch2-faps/faculty-contingent.php). Applicants must show strong potential to engage in research that leads to publications in high quality journals and effectively teach Finance PhD seminars in Corporate Finance

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with high quality journal publications.
