The University of Oklahoma Health Campus, Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing, seeks an Assistant/Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Instruction to lead faculty matters, liaise with the Dean and Provost, and represent the Dean to the Campus Faculty Affairs Advisory Board.
This role oversees onboarding, faculty development, and curriculum implementation, with tenure-eligibility at Associate or Full Professor, and requires an RN license in Oklahoma and a terminal nursing degree.
Purpose of Role: The Assistant/Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Instruction serves as principal liaison for faculty matters with the Dean, CON leadership (primarily the other Associate Deans), and the Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost. The Assistant/Associate Dean also serves as the Dean’s representative to the Campus Faculty Affairs Advisory Board. The Assistant/Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs is responsible for oversight of faculty affairs issues that include, but are not limited to, faculty on-boarding, professional development, and implementation of curriculum.
Appointment: The Assistant/Associate Dean reports directly to the Dean of the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure: Must be eligible for or hold current registered professional nurse (RN) license for the State of Oklahoma
Education: Graduate degree in Nursing required. Must be terminally prepared.
