The faculty member will be expected to direct the University Writing Center, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, conduct research, and serve on committees. Undergraduate teaching includes courses in our professional writing minor and major options, as well as our first-year writing program. Graduate teaching involves courses in writing studies. The faculty member may also develop new courses in their area of expertise. The director of the Writing Center has a reduced teaching load and receives a summer supplemental contract.
Rank and Salary
This is a tenure-track, 9-month appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Salary ranges from $7,242 to $8,835 per month, depending on experience.
