Position Highlights

The Chief will provide leadership for the Section of Nuclear Medicine, partnering with departmental and hospital leadership to oversee clinical operations, strategic planning, faculty development, quality initiatives, and continued program growth across Baylor College of Medicine and its affiliated hospitals. The successful candidate will help expand innovative molecular imaging and radiopharmaceutical therapy programs while fostering multidisciplinary collaboration and academic excellence.

Clinical responsibilities include a full-time commitment to providing comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine services across both public and private healthcare environments. Qualified candidates must have completed an ACGME-accredited Nuclear Medicine residency or Diagnostic Radiology residency with additional fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine or Nuclear Radiology. The ideal candidate will have expertise in all aspects of clinical Nuclear Medicine, including general nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology, molecular imaging, hybrid imaging, and radiopharmaceutical therapy.

Candidates interested in the Chief of Nuclear Medicine role should demonstrate a record of clinical excellence, leadership, program development, and a commitment to advancing academic missions through education, research, and faculty mentorship. Previous administrative or leadership experience within an academic or large clinical practice is preferred but not required.

Active participation in resident and fellow training is expected. Formal ACGME faculty experience is desirable but not required.
