Position title: Molecular Biologist/Immunologist Salary range: A reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $74,100-$94,200. Position description

The Department of Pathology (http://pathology.ucsd.edu) within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego, is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body and seeks Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientists.

Under the supervision of the Principal Investigators, the Project Scientists will work independently and will be responsible for the following:

  • Designing, managing, and conducting experiments in cancer immunology, molecular biology, and/or bioinformatics
  • Training and teaching students and others in the field of study
  • Leading and making innovative and significant contributions to the project(s)
  • Participating in and presenting at scientific meetings
  • Writing scientific reports, manuscripts, and grants for submission and/or publication

    Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientist level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

    Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
    Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in Molecular Biology, Cancer Immunology, Bioinformatics, or other related disciplines.

    Preferred qualifications
    Candidates with 5+ years of post-doctoral experience in cancer immunology, molecular biology, and/or bioinformatics are preferred.
