Job Summary
Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor – Tenure‑track faculty positions in proteomics and allied fields. The School of Science (SoS) and the new IU Convergent Biosciences and Technology Institute (CBATI) invite applications at all ranks, focused on advancing knowledge and developing innovative solutions in proteomics, translational omics, biomarker development, and technology development.
Tenure homes will be within one of six departments in SoS: Biology, Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physics, or Psychology.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a nationally and internationally recognized, externally funded research program aligned with SoS and CBATI missions.
- Collaborate across disciplines within the School and the Institute to drive innovative research addressing critical bioscience challenges.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their home department.
- Mentor and advise students, fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community.
- Engage in service activities within the Department, School, Institute, University, and the broader Indiana community.
Desired Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. in life, health, or physical sciences or related fields.
- Research: Strong record of scholarship in proteomics or allied fields, with evidence of securing external and nationally funded research. Prior external funding is highly desirable.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Demonstrated commitment to working in multidisciplinary environments with researchers from diverse scientific backgrounds.
- Teaching & Mentoring: Evidence of effective teaching and commitment to fostering respectful and inclusive learning and working environments.
