Assistant/Associate Director of Development, College of the Liberal Arts

This position is part of Penn State’s Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR), responsible for engaging alumni and friends to support the College of the Liberal Arts, a leading public liberal arts college in the U.S. As a member of DDAR, you will play an integral role in Penn State’s fundraising and alumni relations efforts.

Responsibilities include:
  • Identifying and cultivating prospects among alumni and key constituencies;
  • Communicating Penn State’s needs, values, and initiatives, including diversity, equity, and inclusion, through various channels;
  • Planning and executing strategies to secure major gifts;
  • Traveling regionally and nationally to build relationships and meet fundraising goals.
Qualifications:
  • Successful track record in securing major gifts and meeting fundraising targets;
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse communities;
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented;

Additional requirements include operating a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license and passing background and motor vehicle checks.
