Hours: (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) 12-hour shifts
· Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, (off Wednesday and Thursday), Friday, Saturday, Sunday
· Week 2: (off Monday and Tuesday), Wednesday, Thursday, (off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
Location: Clayton
This position is responsible for performing environmental monitoring of fill lines in SFF and PFF and also environmental monitoring of all classified production areas, including sampling of site utility systems. The Environmental Assurance department must maintain adequate staffing to support all filling operations 24/7. In addition to routine environmental monitoring of the aseptic fill lines, this position executes the Quality Oversight program for the fill lines and provides quality control approval of airflow visualizations conducted on site. The role is part of the budgeted staff necessary to complete sampling and testing, ensuring Clayton site environmental monitoring remains in control. Must follow SOPs and oral instructions, maintain precise, legible, and organized documentation, and be willing to perform cleaning duties and housekeeping.
Current production levels require multiple filling activities during shifts, requiring EM staff to support these activities to avoid delays.
Requirements
The Assistant level requires an AA or BS degree in medical technology/clinical laboratory science, or a BS in biology, chemistry, or related field, with 6-12 months of laboratory experience. A background in medical technology/clinical laboratory science and experience in a GLP/GMP laboratory are preferred.
The Associate level requires an AA or BS degree in medical technology/clinical laboratory science, or a BS in biology, chemistry, or related field, with 2 years of laboratory experience. Similar preferences apply.
Work involves office and lab/manufacturing environments, with exposure to biological fluids, potential infectious organisms, occasional extreme cold, electrical equipment, and the need for PPE. Tasks include sitting or standing for 2-4 hours, frequent hand movements, light to moderate lifting (up to 35 lbs), and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
