Job summary

The University of Memphis is hiring an Assistant/Associate Athletic Director, Development to advance major gifts for Memphis Athletics. This on-site role requires strategic donor engagement, portfolio management, and leadership of the Tiger Leadership Circle initiative to secure six- to seven-figure gifts.

Responsibilities include developing solicitations, identifying prospects, and representing the athletics program at events, while overseeing premium seating and NIL efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area and six (6) years of soliciting funds, development fundraising, or intercollegiate athletics experience, or a Master’s Degree and four (4) years of soliciting funds or related intercollegiate athletics experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Athletic Development staff to grow major giving for Memphis Athletics.
• Manage a donor/prospect portfolio to maximize six- to seven-figure gifts.
• Assist in Tiger Leadership Circle strategy and donor identification.
• Attend home events as an ambassador and raise visibility with donors and volunteers.
• Oversee major gift fundraising efforts and supervise Assistant AD, Major Gifts positions.
• Oversee premium seating planning and Name, Image and Likeness initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Assistant/Associate Athletic Director, Development

Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with Athletic Development staff to develop strategic growth of major giving for Memphis Athletics.


• Manage portfolio of donors and prospects to maximize donations through Tiger Leadership Circle solicitations, focusing on six to seven-figure gifts.


• Assist in the management of Tiger Leadership Circle strategy, including solicitation plans and donor identification for potential prospects.


• Regularly attend home athletic events to serve as an ambassador of the Tiger Scholarship Fund, maintain sufficient knowledge of sports programs, and increase visibility with donors, prospects, volunteers, coaches, and student-athletes.


• Oversight of all major gift fundraising efforts including serving as supervisor for Assistant AD, Major Gifts Positions.


• Oversight of premium seating sales planning/execution as well as the program’s Name, Image and Likeness efforts.


• Perform other duties as assigned.
