Opportunity

The NSWG-2 Logistics Support Unit (LOGSUPPU) supports Navy Special Warfare operations and training worldwide, providing logistics support for NSW operations and training in various environments.

Overview

The Assistant Armorer will support the LOGSUPPU-2 Civilian Armorer in daily armory operations.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Security Requirement
  • Must possess a SECRET Security Clearance
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments and repairs on Combat Weapons Systems (CWS), including depot-level repairs.
  • Manage CWS inventory, storage, receipt, issue, and movement, adhering to security and safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of operation, disassembly/reassembly, and troubleshooting of NSW and SOCOM-specific weapons, VAS, and accessories.
  • Meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements.
  • Be prepared to complete the Naval Special Warfare Enhanced Organizational Level Armorer Course.
  • Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • At least three years' experience repairing small arms.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accurate data entry into multiple databases.
