Job summary

JAC Recruitment seeks an Assistant Area Supervisor to support a major manufacturing equipment installation project in De Soto, Kansas. The role works with the Area Supervisor and Area Manager to coordinate field activities, supervise subcontractors, monitor progress, and ensure safety and quality on site.

This full-time, site-based position requires 3–5+ years in industrial construction or related fields, a relevant degree, and strong organization.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in industrial construction, manufacturing projects, equipment installation, or related industries.
  • Experience supporting field activities and coordinating subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of industrial construction practices and installation projects.
  • Understanding of project scheduling and budget management.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience preparing daily reports, progress updates, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Area Managers and Supervisors in coordinating day-to-day field activities.
  • Support supervision of subcontractors and field personnel during equipment installation activities.
  • Monitor project schedules, site progress, and completion targets.
  • Assist with project reporting, progress tracking, and documentation.
  • Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
  • Participate in quality control and site inspection activities.
  • Support site startup, logistics coordination, and project close-out activities.
  • Assist with implementation of site safety programs and OSHA compliance.
  • Attend project meetings and communicate ongoing site activities.
  • Support budget, schedule, and project control efforts.
  • Foster positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and project teams.

Job description

Position Summary

Our client, a company specializing in industrial construction, equipment installation, and project management services, is seeking an Assistant Area Supervisor to support a large-scale manufacturing equipment installation project in De Soto, Kansas.


This role will work closely with the Area Supervisor and Area Manager to coordinate field activities, supervise subcontractors, monitor project progress, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements. The position plays a key role in supporting equipment installation activities within a major manufacturing facility project.

Preferred Requirements


  • Manufacturing facility or plant construction experience

  • Mechanical and/or electrical installation experience

  • Experience working with Japanese suppliers, vendors, or stakeholders

  • Japanese language skills are a plus

  • Experience on equipment installation or industrial EPC projects
