Job summary

Splits59 is looking for an Assistant Designer to support the full seasonal cycle—from concept through CADs and tech packs to fittings and production handoff. This hands-on role reports to the Senior Designer and collaborates with cross-functional teams to learn how an activewear line comes together end to end.

You will assist in developing seasonal concepts, color palettes, graphics, and silhouettes, contribute to mood boards and trend research, and create CADs and sketches in Illustrator.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; hand-sketching ability
• Working knowledge of garment construction, fit, and stretch/performance fabrics
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Comfortable managing multiple seasons/deadlines at once
• Curious and eager to learn line building strategy and brand positioning

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing seasonal concepts, color palettes, graphics, and silhouettes aligned with brand direction
• Contribute to mood boards, trend research, and design presentations
• Create and update CADs and sketches in Illustrator
• Create and maintain detailed tech packs, including construction and print/graphic comments
• Attend fittings and capture fit comments/corrections for follow-up
• Support production/product-team meetings and cross-functional alignment
• Assist with sales line reviews and meeting prep
