Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • At least three years of administrative and clerical experience in healthcare, managed care, Hedis, KPIS, and metrics required.
  • MA Certification, MA work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises medical center personnel and ensures adequate staffing.
  • Evaluates personnel performance and provides recommendations.
  • Counsels and disciplines staff as needed; monitors productivity.
  • Develops and updates policy and procedure manuals.
  • Processes daily cash reconciliation and safeguards petty cash.
  • Collects and submits monthly statistical reports to Upper Management.
  • Develops progressive departmental goals and measures to ensure timely results.
  • Recommends procurement of supplies, equipment, and modifications for economical operations.
  • Complies with on-call rotation.
  • Analyzes and develops productivity of departments.
  • Analyzes physician productivity and member services.
  • Works with Marketing to increase and retain membership.
  • Handles and resolves member complaints and grievances.
  • Ensures referrals are issued timely.
  • Maintains licenses and in-services to comply with regulations.
  • Maintains open communication with Administration on daily issues.
  • Schedules supervision and staff meetings.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction with all members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assists with direct supervision of medical center personnel and ensures adequate staffing levels.
  • Evaluates medical center personnel, employee performance, and makes recommendations.
  • Counsels and discipline employees when necessary; monitors productivity levels of personnel.
  • Assists in developing and updating policy and procedure manuals.
  • Assists with processing daily cash reconciliation/ deposits and other reports as necessary and ensures petty cash is accounted and safeguarded.
  • Collects and summits monthly statistical reports to Upper Management for all center services and departments.
  • Assists in developing progressive departmental goals and appropriate measures to ensure timely effective results.
  • Assists in recommending procurement of supplies, equipment, and modifications necessary for practical economical operations.
  • Responsible to comply with on call rotation

  • Analyzes data related to physician’s productivity and member services.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the daily work activities of the medical office.
  • May handle or assist with discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of office management procedures.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in office administration or related field preferred, not required. At least three years of administrative and clerical experience in healthcare, managed care, Hedis, KPIS, and metrics required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift -up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary:

$45-50K (Compensation based on experience)
