Position Criteria:
- Iowa Administrator License OR Standard/Master Teaching License and/or Activities Administrator Authorization
- Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience
- Minimum 5 years experience as coach or sponsor
Performance Criteria:
- Attend leadership team meetings in their building and district-wide (e.g., administrative team meetings)
- Evaluate and support extracurricular coaches and sponsors
- Conduct walk-through evaluations of coaches as part of the professional growth cycle
- Handle personnel matters related to activities and athletics coaching
- Manage discipline and attendance issues in activities and athletics
- Coordinate sports schedules, resolve conflicts, and handle weather-related disruptions
- Lead the hiring process for coaches in the building
- Assist in monitoring and approving activity budgets
- Supervise events, including setup, coordination, officiating, and cleanup
- Prepare for events by managing gate workers, concessions, scoreboard, and officials
- Manage facilities, including custodial concerns, building maintenance, bathrooms, and IT tickets
- Participate in AD and booster club meetings
- Maintain staff and parent/community communication, addressing concerns and disseminating event information
- Oversee busing and transportation, including communication, supervision, and discipline
- Implement emergency protocols during weather events
- Serve as acting Building Administrator when the Principal and Assistant Principal are unavailable
