Assistant Accounting Manager Fixed Assets - Corp (LV)

Job Overview

The Capital Asset team is responsible for developing, monitoring, and enforcing policies, practices, and procedures related to Caesars Entertainment Corporation’s property, plant, and equipment assets, including costs associated with construction in progress and IT development until assets are placed in-service. This includes maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring transactions comply with the Capital Asset Policy, and providing policy guidance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting staff responsible for capital asset accounting.
• Administer Caesars’ accounting and capital policies related to capital asset transactions and internal controls.
• Review account reconciliations and journal entries for compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Coordinate and review accounting processes to ensure accurate transaction recording.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and support projects as needed.
• Understand and implement US GAAP requirements.
• Manage the month-end close process adhering to deadlines and standards.
• Review financial reports, SEC filings, and disclosures.
• Lead and support team development, training, and performance evaluation.
• Lead strategic initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR), GAAP, and SOX.
