Job summary

The Sak is seeking an Assistant Accessories Designer in the Tri-State Area with a hybrid work model. This full-time role supports all Design Department activities and requires 3 years of hands-on experience reporting to the VP of Design.

Ideal candidates will bring leather handbag design expertise, strong Illustrator/Photoshop skills, and the ability to organize and present quarterly design concepts. Join a values-driven team focused on sustainable craft and collaborative innovation.

Qualifications

• Experience with Leather handbag design.
• Experience with Prints in natural and sustainable fabrics for accessories.
• Strong skills in Illustrator, Photoshop & Powerpoint.
• Excellent presentation skills are required.
• Strong Organizational & Administrative skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask a large number of projects.
• Passionate about design and sustainability.
• Knowledge of Next Gen style is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and collaborative mindset.
• Experience with handcrafted products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design on Quarterly Themes.
• Create Quarterly Design Presentations in Powerpoint.
• Collaborate with Design, Merchandising & Product Development on seasonal products.
• Participate in Design across categories & fabrications.
• Create new concepts for fabrications in Illustrator or Photoshop.
• Recolor artwork for printed fabrications in Illustrator or Photoshop.
• Submit & approve Artwork, strike offs, lab dips; communicate with overseas teams via PLM.
• Organize and maintain samples, swatches & files.
