Certificates and Licenses: Texas Principal certification

Residency Requirement: This position is virtual and must reside within the state of Texas. It may include travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, or as required by the school.

The mission of TVAH is to provide an exemplary, individualized, and engaging educational experience by incorporating school and community/family partnerships, coupled with a rigorous curriculum, data-driven and student-centered instruction. Responsibilities
  • Ensure educational programs meet state and local standards through evaluation and development activities; research and implement non-K12 curriculum resources as needed.
  • Articulate the school’s mission and vision, ensuring stakeholder understanding and cooperation; utilize communication technologies effectively in a virtual environment.
  • Ensure compliance with laws regarding special education and categorical programs (such as Title I, LAP, CTE).
  • Interface with students, families, local courts, and districts regarding compliance, attendance, and engagement.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the Student Achievement Improvement Plan.
  • Supervise and evaluate teaching staff; manage performance, training, and professional development.
  • Coordinate with teachers, students, and parents on educational and behavioral issues; manage expulsions and withdrawals in collaboration with enrollment.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise 15-30 FTE employees/contractors, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, and discipline, in accordance with policies and laws.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Master’s degree AND five (5) years of educational experience OR equivalent education and experience
Other Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web tools, ability to travel 10%, and ability to clear background checks.

This is a virtual position within Texas, with up to 20% travel for meetings and professional development.
