Summary

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Assistant 3-Year-Old Teacher to support young learners in a dynamic and nurturing classroom environment. The ideal candidate will assist the Lead Teacher in implementing engaging lessons that promote early literacy, math, and social-emotional growth. This role requires patience, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education. The Assistant 3-Year-Old Teacher will help guide students through structured activities, maintain a safe and supportive learning space, and foster positive relationships with children and families.

Duties

Job Duties:

  • Assist the Lead 3-Year-Old Teacher in implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that support early literacy, math, and social-emotional growth
  • Provide individualized support to children, fostering independence, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Help maintain a structured classroom routine, including transitions, snack time, and group activities
  • Encourage creativity and curiosity through hands-on learning experiences and play-based activities
  • Guide children in positive social interactions, emotional regulation, and cooperative play
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines
  • Support classroom management strategies to create a nurturing and inclusive learning space
  • Communicate effectively with families, sharing updates on student progress and classroom experiences
  • Prepare and organize learning materials to enhance student engagement
  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher and other staff to provide a cohesive and supportive educational experience
Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Education Required: High school diploma
  • Education Preferred: Associate’s or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
  • Certification: CPR and First Aid certification required; additional childcare-related certifications are a plus
  • Experience: Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or early education setting preferred
