An established industry player is seeking a dedicated individual to oversee the operations of a premier natatorium. This role involves managing staff, ensuring pool safety, and developing strategies to recruit talented student-athletes. You will work closely with coaches and administrative staff to create a thriving environment for athletes while complying with NCAA regulations. Assist with day-to-day management of The Palladium Natatorium operations, including scheduling, maintenance, event management, and pool safety procedures. Hire, train, and supervise administrative/professional staff as well as casual and student lifeguard and natatorium management staff; supervise service employees. Serve as the assistant coach for men's and women's swim teams. In conjunction with the head coach, develop and implement strategies to recruit student-athletes; assess team's future needs; identify schools and individuals to target for recruitment. Supervise natatorium administrative staff. Assist the head coach with the evaluation of prospective student-athletes following NYU, NCAA, and University Athletic Association rules and regulations; contact parents, HS/Club coaches as well as prospective students to evaluate athletic ability, academic aptitude, ability/willingness to pay, and interest in NYU. In consultation with the Head Coach, NYU Admissions, and Academic Affairs Advisor, develop student-athlete profiles and recommendations for review of prospective student athletes' academic potential, assist with the development of practice and competition schedules. Ensure compliance with NCAA, UAA & NYU regulations.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education: Master's degree
Required Experience: Two plus years relevant experience. Must include lifeguard training, staff supervision, excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Experience: Swimming and coaching on the intercollegiate level.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Water Safety Instructor, CPR, First Aid, Automatic External Defibrillator Certifications.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to certify lifeguards. Certified NYC Pool Operator.
