Job description

Job Duties:

1. Associate, Investing & Portfolio Management - Private at Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY.
2. Conduct detailed financial analysis on privately held companies to evaluate investment opportunities, including forecasting, valuation, market and competitive analysis, returns analysis, and unit economics.
3. Prepare investment committee memoranda outlining investment considerations and proposed terms.
4. Present investment theses to internal committees.
5. Engage with senior management of portfolio companies to build relationships and gather information.
6. Perform quarterly valuations, assess future capital needs, and assist with business development activities, including attending board meetings and evaluating exit strategies.
7. Research industry trends, themes, and business models within the infrastructure investing sector.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related field (U.S. or foreign equivalent).
2. Two years of experience in Investment and Portfolio Management or related roles, including:
   1. Financial analysis using GAAP, valuation techniques, leverage, and industry benchmarks.
   2. Presenting analyses to internal committees and building relationships within the private investing ecosystem.
   3. Working with equity structures and applying them to investments.
3. Travel requirement: 10%.
