Job description

We're looking for a high-performing Analyst to join our Total Portfolio Solutions business focused on distributing HNW portfolios combining multiple product types and forging strategic partnerships with key technology platforms. This initiative spans custom models, mutual funds, ETFs, direct indexing, separately managed accounts (SMAs), and alternatives - unified within a single, streamlined solution for our clients.


In this commercial strategy role, you will:



  • Help shape how we bring these capabilities to market through strategic partnerships, client engagement, and organizational excellence

  • Acquire experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization

  • Gain exposure to senior leaders both internally and externally and play a key role in driving GSAM's innovation at the intersection of investing and technology


Key Responsibilities:



  • Sales & Relationship Support: Work closely alongside the Enterprise Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and Large Market RIA sales teams to drive our distribution strategy

  • to support activation strategies. Partner with client portfolio managers and product specialist teams including model portfolios, ETFs, and Alternatives teams. Support key business development activities, including prospecting, client meetings, and day-to-day relationship management

  • Client Engagement & Insights: Support direct engagement with RIA clients and tech platforms. Help organize and synthesize feedback to inform our commercial strategy

  • Business Intelligence & Reporting: Track and analyze key business metrics and KPIs, and deliver insights that help shape strategy and highlight growth opportunities

  • Market & Competitive Research: Monitor trends in wealth management, wealth-tech, and managed accounts. Help identify emerging technologies, competitor moves, and areas of strategic risk or opportunity.

  • Platform Development: Assist in identifying and evaluating potential partnerships, contributing to strategic discussions around investments


What We're Looking For:



  • 2-3 years direct experience working at a Registered Investment Advisor, wealth manager, wealth-tech company, or asset manager focused on third-party distribution

  • Series 7 and 66 (or 63) preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think synthetically

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable working across multiple teams, including sales, investing, engineering, and marketing

  • Intellectual curiosity, a collaborative mindset, and comfort with ambiguity

  • Familiarity with Direct Indexing and Alternatives is a plus

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $90000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
