Fixed Income & Liquidity Solutions Overview

This team manages over $1.7 trillion in assets, serving private wealth mandates and institutional clients such as insurance companies, pension funds, and endowments. They invest across fixed income strategies, including rates, currency, and credit, through collaboration among portfolio managers, research analysts, and traders.

Role Overview

As an Associate in our Client Portfolio Manager team within Fixed Income Solutions, you will drive client engagement, marketing, and product development for our custom fixed income SMA strategies. You will collaborate with various teams to create tailored solutions, deliver market insights, develop marketing content, and provide exceptional client service. The role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented team player with excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for markets, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Subject Matter Expertise & Leadership: Serve as an expert on GSAM's Fixed Income Strategies, mentor junior staff, and stay informed on market trends.
  2. Client Communication & Relationship Management: Act as a senior contact for sales teams and clients, addressing inquiries and cultivating relationships.
  3. Marketing & Content Strategy: Develop marketing materials and thematic content to highlight investment expertise.
  4. Sales Leadership & Client Acquisition: Partner with sales leaders to present strategies and lead client meetings.
  5. Market Intelligence & Investment Strategy: Monitor markets, economic indicators, and competitors to inform strategies.
  6. Portfolio Review & Performance Analysis: Prepare client-specific reviews and analyze performance for improvements.
  7. Collaboration & Strategic Initiatives: Work on projects like product development and platform enhancements.
  8. Education & Training: Educate internal and external audiences on SMA products and develop training programs.
  9. Relationship Management & Business Development: Build relationships across the business and pursue new opportunities.
  10. Product Development & Market Research: Identify product opportunities and conduct market analyses.
Qualifications
  • 3-7 years in financial services with a focus on fixed income and client portfolio management.
  • Deep understanding of fixed income markets and SMA structures.
  • Experience working with HNW clients; trust and estate knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and PowerPoint skills; proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.
  • Willing to travel; FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required.
Salary Range

The expected base salary is $80,000 - $160,000, with potential discretionary bonuses.
