The XIG Client Portfolio Solutions team is responsible for leading all client related activity across the XIG investment businesses. These responsibilities include capital raising, solutions oriented analytics across client portfolios, product development, ongoing client relationship management, and research projects. The specific role is within XIG's industry leading hedge fund business. The team is client facing, and works closely with other areas of AIMS and the broader firm including XIG Risk Management & Analytics, Client Service teams, Fund Accounting/Controllers, Operations and Technology, Legal and Compliance.
Principal Responsibilities
- Investment focus: Hedge funds
- Client coverage focus: Private wealth management – ultra-high net worth clients (family offices and individuals)
- Candidate will take lead responsibilities for specific US PWM regions, as well as product specialization responsibilities
- High-performing team focused on all hedge fund related client activity across Goldman Sachs’s private wealth management business
- External client interactions via client meetings, calls, portfolio reviews and presentations
- Internal interactions with private wealth advisers, internal sales teams and broader businesses
- Product knowledge extends across XIG proprietary flagship solutions (fund-of-funds), liquid alternatives, co-investments, as well as single manager offerings. In addition to external and internal client activity, candidate will help team with analytical work, creation of marketing materials, portfolio analysis and research projects.
- Candidates should exhibit ability to listen to client objectives and constraints, and subsequently position suitable XIG offerings as a potential solution
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in the alternatives industry
- Specific hedge fund background and experience preferred
- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong interest in capital markets, asset management, and understanding of traditional and alternative asset classes
- Strong organizational skills to oversee production of a high volume of quality work within tight timeframes, often including multiple simultaneous projects
- Knowledge and understanding of Excel, PowerPoint and Word and adaptability to other software products
- Candidate must be a team player and self-motivated and demonstrate a willingness to take on more responsibility

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$290000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
