Goldman Sachs is seeking an associate in the AWM-Client Solutions Group based in New York. You will partner with senior leadership across Finance, Operations, and Technology to support strategic initiatives, build financial models, and enhance data governance in both public and private markets.

The role emphasizes analytical rigor, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to turn data into actionable insights for fundraising targets and business growth.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting or Data Analytics.
• Strong problem solving skills with proactive approach.
• Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, macros) and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Experience with analytics tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
• Self-motivated with strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage key financial processes across the global business (e.g., annual sales budgeting, P&L management, sales and fundraising projections).
• Analyze large datasets, identify insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for fundraising targets.
• Produce weekly business summaries, KPI progress updates and complete ad-hoc requests from senior management.
• Work with senior management to assess the state and develop the narrative of the business and provide analytical support for strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate across regions on global initiatives related to business strategy, client engagement, technology and reporting.
• Take project management lead while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive efficiency and scalability.
• Develop and maintain business/market analytics and sales metrics for divisional and business managers.
• Manage client coverage and liaise with Executive Office on cross-divisional requests.

The role is part of the Client Solutions Group management and finance team. The team works closely with senior management and is responsible for supporting the Client Solutions Group in financial modeling, managing strategic initiatives, business and financial reporting, and data governance that spans both public and private businesses.

YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking a highly‑motivated, detail‑oriented associate to join our global team. In this role, you will partner with various groups both within and adjacent to the Global Client Solutions Group to provide analytical and strategic support for senior leadership, sales teams, as well as focusing on advancing our data infrastructure. The team oversees our progress toward our financial goals; works directly with leadership to execute on our operating initiatives and projects growth plans for the business. In addition to working with leadership in the Client Solutions Group, the team partners closely with AWM Leadership, Investing, Operations and Engineering, Finance & Strategy, and the Executive Office.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential

Skills & Experience We Are Looking For

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in a Finance, Accounting or Data Analytics role
• Strong problem solving skills and abilities, able to craft unique solutions with limited guidance; proactive in assessing dynamic situations
• Expert skills in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, simple macros, etc.), PowerPoint (graphs/charts)
• Working knowledge of analytics applications (i.e. Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik) and database tools (e.g. Elastic, MS SQL Server, Legend) a plus
• Self‑motivated and driven, someone looking for a steep growth curve
• Fast learner and effective communicator of new / complex information
• Ability to work at varying speeds and under timeframe pressure, while maintaining extremely high standards
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills: ability to build the trust and confidence of colleagues, strengthen relationships through ongoing dialogue and interactions, and collaborate well with others internally
• Project management skills; highly organized; attention to detail and excellent follow‑through; able to define, structure and prioritize work, but with the flexibility to change priorities when circumstances dictate
• Confidence to challenge and be innovative; focus on identifying areas of improving efficiency through automation and scalability

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, NY, United States‑based position is $85000-$110000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year‑end.
