Responsibilities
- Join the Multi-Asset Solutions (MAS) Portfolio Management Team in New York City.
- Design, manage, and communicate multi-asset class portfolios, focusing on liability-driven investing for pension and insurance clients.
- Develop, invest in, manage, and communicate customized portfolio solutions to clients.
- Prepare liability analysis based on actuarial data under various economic assumptions.
- Perform asset/liability modeling and develop interest rate and credit spread hedging strategies for pension plans in the US and Canada.
- Construct and review custom liability benchmarks for Liability Driven Investing strategies.
- Utilize advanced mathematical concepts for asset and liability modeling for clients and prospects.
- Support content development for client and prospect presentations, RFPs, and liability analyses.
- Maintain asset and liability models to produce stochastic analyses for US and Canadian plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or related field.
- Associate (ASA) or Fellow (FSA) of the Society of Actuaries.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pension actuarial consulting, US or Canadian valuations.
- Experience with financial modeling in Excel, advising on US pension funding laws, US (ASC 715) and IAS 19 standards, and asset/liability projections.
- Detail-oriented, organized, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent worker and team player with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Interest in financial markets, actuarial science, and investment strategies.
- CFA charterholder is a plus.
Salary Range
Expected base salary: $100,000 - $170,000, with potential discretionary bonus.
