Position Overview

Are you passionate about safety, security, and making a difference? At Meijer, we're seeking an Asset Protection Supervisor to lead our dedicated team in safeguarding our stores and ensuring a culture of accountability.

As an Asset Protection Supervisor, you will collaborate with the Market Asset Protection Manager and Store Leadership to support shrink prevention through operational excellence, theft controls, and people development, fostering a culture of safety with 200% accountability. You will oversee Asset Protection initiatives, company directives, and safety efforts to maintain integrity and excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Manage leadership of the Asset Protection team, including hiring, performance reviews, scheduling, and overall performance alignment with company programs.
  • Investigate internal/external losses and criminal acts, ensuring deterrence methods are effectively executed and store leadership is trained accordingly.
  • Participate as a member of the store's Safety Committee, promoting safety accountability.
  • Conduct safety audits, identify unsafe conditions, and implement corrective strategies.
  • Ensure physical security systems are operational, keys are controlled, doors are secured, and staff is trained.
  • Develop and implement strategies related to shrink plans and Asset Protection goals.
  • Maintain professional standards and serve as a point of contact with outside authorities.
  • Review financial reports to analyze root causes and partner with leadership for resolutions.
  • Conduct inventory assessments and analyses.
  • Participate in store meetings and training sessions related to Asset Protection.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of retail and investigative experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to delegate, prioritize, and lead remotely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Analytical skills with financial reporting tools.
  • Strong investigative and interviewing skills.
  • Knowledge of the justice system and retail crime.
