About The Role

In this role, you will embody 'Do The Right Thing' by protecting People, Assets, and Brands. You will work in a fast-paced environment focused on creating a safe space for our employees, teams, and customers. This role is critical for driving Brand Power, Building Customer Relationships, and exemplifying our Team and Values. You’ll need to understand the big picture strategy and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.

You will identify and mitigate safety threats, external theft, and fraud within a specific store. Your responsibilities include providing in-store response and support, focusing on immediate safety concerns, habitual offenders, and high-impact theft/fraud incidents using company technology (CCTV, Incident Reporting, and AP resources). You will also train Store Leaders and Associates in safety practices and the use of reporting systems.

The Asset Protection Specialist reports to the Asset Protection Manager or Area Manager and interacts with Law Enforcement, diversion programs, and community outreach initiatives. You will develop relationships and influence local community networks to support safety and theft prevention efforts.

What You'll Do

• Maintain a visible presence to prevent loss and safety issues.
• Contribute to a low-risk culture and shortage reduction efforts.
• Ensure physical security of the store and support a positive customer experience.
• Handle escalated customer situations appropriately.
• Support investigation processes from case initiation to resolution.
• Make safe apprehensions following Gap Inc. guidelines.
• Communicate loss and safety intelligence to leadership.
• Educate staff on safety standards and procedures.
• Promote available safety resources to the team.

Who You Are

• You will maintain uniform standards, including the use of body-worn cameras.
• You work closely with store leaders and Asset Protection teams to ensure compliance and safety.
• You have experience in high-pressure, multitasking environments, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• You demonstrate learning agility, sound decision-making, and professionalism.
