Job Description: Loss Prevention Associate at Five Below

Minimum Requirements:

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of retail Loss Prevention experience
• Basic understanding of retail or security
• Availability to work nights and weekends as needed
• Ability to stand/walk on the sales floor for up to 8 hours
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
• Strong attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently
• Understanding of Five Below policies and procedures
• General product knowledge in key departmental areas

Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to shortage reduction and investigations
• Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure policy adherence
• Maintain the employee entrance and track deliveries
• Conduct store physical security checks and recommend loss prevention measures
• Perform store patrols and security checks throughout the store
• Provide a visual presence at entrances/exits and interact courteously with customers
• Conduct safety inspections and report hazards
• Greet customers professionally as a Five Below associate
