ASSET PROTECTION SPECIALIST DISTRICTS 1 & 2 (WESTERN KS) (Finance)


Protect company assets through safety initiatives, inventory recovery, and theft reduction programs. Assist with reducing lost inventory, monitor surveillance equipment, and collaborate with the district asset protection (AP) manager on AP initiatives. Identify, observe, and apprehend shoplifters and others involved in criminal activity impacting the company. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent communication skills

Desired qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • One year of retail asset protection experience
  • Experience in multi-store asset protection
  • Wicklander Certification
  • Operational knowledge of CCTV systems

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct plainclothes surveillance to detect loss
  • Investigate internal and external theft, report findings, and apprehend suspects
  • Comply with laws and company policies
  • Perform security checks and recommend loss prevention strategies
  • Partner with law enforcement and prepare case reports
  • Identify and resolve conditions affecting shrink, safety, and profitability
  • Serve as liaison to develop loss reduction solutions
  • Complete detailed reports of AP activities
  • Support AP initiatives and ensure strategy implementation
  • Assist with investigations and testify in court as needed
  • Test store AP equipment functionality
  • Travel throughout the division; work varied schedules, including weekends
  • Manage conflicts professionally and act with integrity
  • Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and seniors
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations
