ASSET PROTECTION SPECIALIST (Finance)

Protect company assets through safety initiatives, inventory recovery, and theft reduction programs. Assist in reducing lost inventory, monitor surveillance equipment, and collaborate with the district asset protection (AP) manager to implement AP initiatives. Identify, observe, and apprehend shoplifters and others involved in criminal activity impacting the company. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Ability to diffuse confrontations
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • One year of retail asset protection experience
  • Experience in multi-store asset protection
  • Wicklander Certification
  • Operational knowledge of CCTV systems
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct plainclothes surveillance to detect internal and external loss
  • Investigate incidents and report findings; apprehend involved individuals
  • Comply with laws, policies, and procedures
  • Perform security checks and recommend loss prevention measures
  • Partner with law enforcement and prepare case reports
  • Identify and resolve conditions affecting shrinkage, safety, and profitability
  • Serve as liaison to develop solutions to reduce waste
  • Complete detailed reports on AP activities
  • Support AP initiatives and ensure their effectiveness at store level
  • Assist with investigations and testify in court when necessary
  • Ensure equipment functionality and compliance
  • Travel across locations and work varied schedules, including weekends
  • Work effectively in high-paced, stressful environments
  • Manage conflicts professionally and with integrity
  • Follow directions and seek assistance as needed
  • Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations

Salary Range: $20.55 - $30.30
